Australians have benefited from Globalisation of Economic Activity in many ways. Firstly, this can create many jobs for people all around Australia. Secondly, it can benefit our economy with a rise in revenue. Thirdly, it can benefit citizens of Australia by providing different options for things such as food and necessary items. Without globalisation, we wouldn't import food and goods.
2.List some of the disadvantages of globalisation on the Australian community?
Less Australian made and produced items may not benefit the country. It could actually have a negative effect on unemployment. It can also have a bad effect on the economy.

Cultural Integration Questions
1. Why do many migrants prefer to live in the large cities rather than living in the country?
2. Identify some places in Sydney that are dominated by certain ethnic groups?
3. List the factors that have assisted cultural integration in Australia?
Migrants prefer to live in large cities because the facilities for the larger areas are usually better than everywhere else. They feel like where everyone else lives which is the fast world and back in the outback it is slow and boring and you have to travel large distances to buy necessities for the family.
There are places like Chinatown, in Sydney’s Haymarket area, was Sydney’s first urban
Village. Initially it simply occupied Dixon Street and housed many of the local Chinese people who worked in and around Paddy’s Market. Other urban villages exist in Sydney including Paddington, The Rocks and Cabramatta. There are Lebanese people in the area of Bankstown which there are many Lebanese shops nearby convenient for those who live in that area. Also the same thing applies for those who live in Harris Park there are many Indian Products and shops there which is convenient for those people who live in that area. Leichhardt is a place in Sydney which is highly populated of Italians which there is a main street which has many Italian shops.
This is when the large cities show a more multicultural environment, and are often already the home to relatives or friends. At first, there will be a few people from another culture settle in an area, but over time as more and more arrive, they may come to dominate an area. The term invasion refers to this process. Once they dominate the area, succession is said to have taken place. People which are seen may be the same like you which will make the place more populated with the same culture as you.

Demographic Change Questions
1. What is the life expectancy for men and women in Australia?
2. Why do women have a longer life expectancy?
3. What factors have caused women in Australia have fewer children?
4. Where do DINKS (double income no kids) couples dwell in Sydney? Why do many of them opt not to have children?
5. Why has the marriage rate declined in Australia?
According to the new millennium book the graph shows that people in the year 2008. It was officially estimated to be approximately 21.5 million. Australia is the 53rd most populous country in the world and its population is concentrated in urban areas. According on what I have researched women are expected to live longer because they do not participate in dangerous activities.
Some of the factors which may contribute to women having smaller families :
Viruses/Diseases
Money wise
Time wise
They want to have more money and not want to sacrifice anything for a son/daughter into that person’s life. They don’t have the time. They don’t have the money. These are some of the places which some of the DINKS live Elizabeth Bay, Rose Bay, Haymarket, Surry Hills,
Potts Point and Darling Hurst. These are areas closer to the city of Sydney which is close to Harbour which children aren’t always seen there except holidays.
The marriage rate has declined because people would like to stay single because they don’t like getting married. People these days prefer to stay single. Below is a map of where the most populated single placed are.

Resource depletion
1.How has resource depletion impacted on rural Australia?
Resource depletion is having an impact on rural Australia through such things as lack of water and soon there may be a lack of oil. The lack of water means that people cannot sustain life on land without sufficient supplies of water. The lack of oil could mean that transportation from the areas may become hard and produce that is made will not be able to be taken to other areas and tgis might cause people of that area to lose money.
2.How has the logging industry being affected by the establishment of national parks.
The establishment of national parks has affected the logging industry by not allowing them to cut down trees in the areas of a national park. This stops the logging companies from removing too many trees in an area.

Distinguish between differences 'within' and differences 'between'. Use examples in your answer.
Differences within communities are differences between the people in the same community e.g. differences in culture in Harris Park and differences of religions in Camden. Differences between communities are differences between different communities e.g differences in religion and culture in different communities.

Type inWhat areas of 'growth' are measured by the contentGovernment? Why?
Some areas of growth measured by the government are population growth, economic growth and infrastructural growth. These are measured so the Government can regulate these things, accomidate for the rising population, regulate economic growth etc.
How is this data collected? From what sources?
This is collected via the Census (population survey) and the Australian Bureau of Statistics, regular checks on economy by the government (checking employment, stock market etc).
Why do growth rates increase during period of economic stability and high employment?
Economic growth rates increase during these periods because high employment will mean that people have money to spend. This means that they will spend money, and some of your page here.this will go towards economic growth. Population may grow because other countries may be struggling, and so people come to Australia to earn money to provide for themselves and their families. Economic growth may be able to fund Infrastructural growth.
